German team
Our German team is made up of Rob Meines, Corina Holla and Thomas Boom. Depending on the scale and content of a project, we can also draw on advisers from the media and business sectors in Berlin.
Rob Meines
Rob Meines, managing partner at Meines & Partners, was the German correspondent for the NRC Handelsblad newspaper and the NOS broadcaster for seven years. As a result, he is well versed in the ins and outs of German politics. Since returning to the Netherlands he has continued to follow developments in Germany. In 1993, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the German Auswärtige Amt asked him to take on the organisation of a German-Dutch journalist exchange programme. In 1991 he was awarded the Anne Vondeling Prize for political journalism, and in 1998 he was awarded the Otto von der Gablentz Prize. He works closely on all of our projects related to Germany.
Corina Holla
Corina Holla, director and partner, worked for a German pharmaceutical company for more than six years as its Manager of Corporate Communications. Her in-depth corporate experience serves her well in her work on lobbying and public affairs for German and Dutch clients.
Thomas Boom
Thomas Boom, consultant, worked for a German bank for three years before embarking on a degree course. As part of that degree, in German/Dutch studies at the Universities of Münster and Nijmegen, he specialised in political science. Thomas specialises in infrastructure and the postal services market with a particular focus on Dutch-German relations. He was born to a Dutch mother and German father and grew up on the Dutch-German border.
