The team in Germany

Our team in Germany is made up of Rob Meines, Corina Holla and Thomas Boom. Depending on the size and scope of a project, we may also use advisers from the fields of media and business in Berlin.

Rob Meines

Rob Meines, Managing Partner at Meines & Partners, was German correspondent for the NRC Handelsblad newspaper and NOS-television for seven years. As a result, he knows all the ‘ins & outs’ of German politics. Once back in the Netherlands, he continued to follow developments in German politics. In 1993, the Dutch Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the German Foreign Office (Auswärtige Amt) asked him to take on the organisation of a Dutch-German journalistic exchange. In 1991, he won the Anne Vondelingprijs for political journalism and, in 1998, he was awarded the Otto von der Gablentz prize. He is closely associated with all projects with a German link.

Corina Holla

Corina Holla, chair of the Management Team, worked for a German pharmaceutical concern for more than 6 years as Manager of Corporate Communication. Her extensive experience in business is a huge asset to lobbying and public affairs for German and Dutch clients.

Thomas Boom

Thomas focusses on infrastructure and the postal market with a Dutch-German slant. Both the Dutch and the German cultures are a big part of Thomas’ life. Thomas was born to a Dutch mother and a German father, close to the Dutch-German border in 1979 and grew up in the area. Having worked for a German bank for three years, he decided to follow a degree in Dutch-German relations at the Universities of Münster and Nijmegen, specialising in political studies. His thesis was on Democratic Renewal in the Netherlands. He completed his degree in 2007 and joined Meines and Partners as a Junior Consultant.
